Meg joined our family at the end of 1997 . She was bought mainly for obedience. To get her used to "going around the shows" we decided to take her to a few Breed shows.

What a star she turned out to be! She has qualified for Crufts on numerous occasions and is rarely out of the cards. She won Best Puppy in Breed at National Working Breeds Championship Show 1998 under Breed Specialist Juliet Mockford. The highlight of her show career to date was winning Undergraduate Bitch at Crufts 1999 under judge Steve Hall, thus gaining her Junior Warrant. She was 4th top puppy bitch with the Border Collie Club of Great Britain, plus 3rd top puppy and 3rd top bitch with the West of England Border Collie Club for 1998.

Meg was 3rd Top Bitch with the West of England Border Collie Club for 1999, and for 2001.

Meg gained her 1st CC on 26 April 2002 at W.E.L.K.S. under breed specialist Juliet Mockford, what a day!

Meg was eye tested normal, CEA/DNA tested normal, hearing (BAER) tested normal and hip scored 2:4

22 March 2005, Meg gave birth to 7 puppies, her 4th and final litter, see our puppy index for more information on this litter and previous puppies.

Meg was involved in an accident on the 7th November 2009 and sustained 2 injuries.  Over the next 8 days she had 2 operations and came through it all well.  Then 2 days later following her 3rd operation she took a turn for the worse, and sadly died in my arms.  She was a very brave girl who took it all in her stride, and still happy to give out kisses and play with her "stick"; things will be a lot different without her.
